The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Omodewu has passed away.
He reportedly died in the United States on Sunday, August 16, 2024.
The exact details of his death are not yet known, but there have been recent speculations about his health within the party.
It was reported that Omodewu was critically ill and had been admitted to a hospital in the United States late last year.
The APC Public Secretary in Oyo State, Wale Sadare, confirmed his death to Channels Television in a phone call on Monday.
According to Sadare, Omodewu passed away in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 61.
Sadare also noted that Omodewu had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness in the U.S. but ultimately succumbed to his condition.
The family has not yet announced any burial plans.
