In order to better safeguard the citizens of Oyo State, the Nigerian Air Force has stated that cooperation between the organization and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is necessary.

When he visited the Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Air Commodore Nasir Folaji of the Nigerian Air Force’s 671 Detachment in Ibadan said this.

Oyindamola Okuneye, the NSCDC Command’s public relations officer, said this in a statement on Wednesday.

The head of the Air Force promised that the security organization will continue to support the NSCDC, whom he regarded as a partner in progress.

He said, “Security of the nation is the duty of all security operatives, therefore there should be a synergy of efforts between the two security agencies.

“The security of Oyo State can only be achieved through persistent cooperation between the two agencies as it was done in the past.”

The security of people’s lives and property in Oyo State and throughout the country was the two agencies’ shared objective, according to State Commandant of the NSCDC Michael Adaralewa, ending the era of inter-agency competition.

He added that the Corps’ activities had improved as a result of investments in training and retraining exercises carried out by Commandant General Abubakar Ahmed.

The Adaralew further emphasized that the safeguarding of lives and property is a cooperative effort for all security agencies as well as the general public, and the NSCDC will keep in touch with and work in conjunction with the Nigerian Air Force whenever necessary.
