PDP BOT calls for urgent NEC meeting to address party’s crisis

The Board of Trustees of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the National Working Committee (NWC) to urgently convene a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to address the ongoing crisis within the party.

Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, made this recommendation during a BOT meeting in Abuja on Thursday. He also encouraged all members summoned by the party’s disciplinary committee to willingly appear before it, emphasizing the party’s supremacy over any individual member.

Wabara noted that the Board of Trustees had a crucial meeting with Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, in August, where they discussed the political situation in the state and its impact on the party.

The PDP has been facing internal disputes, with divisions among members over the tenure of Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and issues related to disciplining errant members.
