The Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter calls on Governor Alex Otti of the Labour Party (LP) to establish an independent technical verification panel to investigate his claims of expenditure on Port Harcourt road by his predecessor, Okezie Ikpeazu, amounting to N10 billion without commensurate work.
The PDP views this statement as a further decline in Otti’s approach to governing through propaganda and has called for the panel to consist of engineers from the Federal Ministry of Works, along with representatives from both the Otti and Ikpeazu administrations.
Abraham Amah, Vice Chairman and Acting State Publicity Secretary of Abia PDP, expressed that Otti’s recent media hangout failed to provide any factual information concerning the Port Harcourt Road project in Aba, which had been initiated during the Ikpeazu administration.
