PDP stakeholders, Atiku, meet in Ibadan

Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State has predicted that the Peoples Democratic Party would win control of all six states in the South-West in the elections of 2023.

According to Tambuwal, the PDP’s victory in Osun State served as a springboard for its campaign to seize control of the whole South-West region.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, were meeting with South-West-based PDP members when Tambuwal made his remarks on Wednesday.

Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, governor-elect of Osun State, Former Osun state governor; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, and other South-West party leaders were also present at the meeting.

Tambuwal said, “What happened in Osun State recently is a sign of what to come. The South-West is going to be delivered to the PDP come 2023.”

Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, who was represented by Ambassador Umar Damagun, urged party members to vote for PDP candidates and claimed that the PDP had nothing to fear from the upcoming elections.

Atiku, according to Adeleke, is a crucial component of the South-West area and will prevail in 2023 with the help of God.
