The Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual General Meeting is currently underway at the Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island in Lagos.
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, are both present at the event.
Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress’ vice presidential candidate, is also in attendance to represent the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The theme of the 2022 NBA AGM is “BOLD Transitions,” and the General Conference is scheduled to take place between August 19 and 26, with the opening ceremony taking place today (Monday).
Also present at the event are Governors Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki of Plateau and Edo states respectively.
The Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, is representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the state, while the Chief Judge of the state, Kazeem Alogba, is also present.
The Keynote Speaker at the event is the award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
