Similar to how their counterparts are protesting across the nation, aviation workers in Lagos are also currently protesting.

According to earlier reports, the unions in the aviation sector had urged its members to “embark on peaceful rallies/public protests at all airports in Nigeria to demand the expunging of obnoxious Essential Service clauses from the Bills/Acts of the aviation agencies” on Monday.

The workers marched through the streets of Lagos while carrying banners and placards bearing various messages and humming songs of solidarity.

The National Union of Air Transport Employees, the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, the Association of Nigerian Association Professionals, the Amalgamated Unions of Public Corporations, the Civil Service Technical & Recreational Services Employees, and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers are among the organizations that have organized the nationwide protest.
