President Bola Tinubu has paid a visit to survivors of last Friday’s devastating attack on Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area, Benue State.
The President’s visit comes in the aftermath of the tragic incident that claimed over 59 lives and left many others injured.

The President went straight to the hospital after arriving at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm on Wednesday.
He later left the hospital for the new Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House where he is expected to meet with major stakeholders in the state in view of the violent attacks that have led to the loss of lives.

President Tinubu is set to engage with victims’ families, displaced individuals, injured persons, and community leaders deeply affected by the violence.
This stakeholder meeting forms part of a comprehensive effort to seek lasting solutions to the crisis impacting parts of the state, particularly rural communities.
Among those anticipated at the meeting are key national and state-level officials, including Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, governors from across the country—especially from the North-Central region—National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume.

The visit is anticipated to draw attendance from service chiefs, prominent members of the National Assembly, leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and notable figures, particularly representatives from the affected communities in Benue.
The state government has also declared a public holiday in honor of the occasion.
