[PHOTOS] Ex Ondo Gov, Mimiko, meets Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, met with Olusegun Mimiko, a former governor of Ondo State, on Thursday.

On Thursday, Mimiko, who presided over Ondo from 2009 to 2017, posted pictures from their encounter on his verified Twitter account, @segunmimiko.

“Pleased to receive my brother, H.E. @PeterObi this morning,” he wrote.

The meeting will take place the day following Obi’s meeting with William B. Stevens, the new American consul general in Nigeria.

Obi said in a statement on Wednesday that he and Stevens had “constructive discussions and exchanged ideas” while they were there.

The former Anambra State governor said, “It was my pleasure to meet with William B. Stevens, the new Consul-General of the United States in Nigeria. We had constructive discussions and exchanged ideas.

“I also shared with him my vision of a new, secure and united Nigeria in which governance and development will be driven by production.”

However, as of the time this report, Obi had not yet disclosed any information on his meeting with Mimiko.
