[PHOTOS] Fire gut Northwest University building in Kano

A fire that broke out on Thursday severely damaged the 9th floor of the Northwest University City Campus building in Kano, impacting multiple academic offices. 

The blaze, which erupted in the afternoon, was reportedly caused by an electrical spark.

Firefighters from both the Kano State Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service responded promptly, ensuring that the fire did not spread to other areas of the building.

Among the offices affected were those of the Head of Department (HOD) and faculty members in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department.
