A fire has destroyed a one-storey building on Abike Suleiman Street in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
In a statement, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintoluf, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), confirmed that the agency received distress calls and promptly activated the State’s Emergency Response Plans, dispatching its Response Team from Lekki Base.
When the LASEMA Shark Response Team arrived at the scene, they found the building fully engulfed in flames.
While the exact cause of the fire had not been determined at the time of the report, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Oke-Osanyintolu highlighted that LASEMA, working alongside other responders, successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
