Cynthia Nwifuru, sister of Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, has married Engineer Silas Umahi, the brother of Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi.
The traditional wedding was held at the palace of His Royal Highness Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwakpu in Oferekpe Agbaja, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Announcing the event on Facebook on Saturday, Minister Umahi shared photos of himself, Governor Nwifuru, and family members attending the colourful ceremony.
He revealed that the couple’s relationship began quietly in 2020 before either family became aware of it, describing the marriage as a testament to God’s plan.
Umahi added that his friendship with Governor Nwifuru, which started more than 18 years ago and was built on mutual trust and respect, had now been strengthened through the union of their younger relatives.
He congratulated Silas and Cynthia, wishing them a happy and peaceful marriage filled with love and divine favour.
