The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has recently completed the training of 393 special marshals as part of the Federal Government’s initiatives to combat illegal mining across the nation.
This dedicated team was unveiled during a passing-out parade held on Friday in Abuja, with the presence of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The 393 individuals who have successfully completed the training represent the second cohort in a series of marshals that the NSCDC pledged to train and deploy for safeguarding mining locations nationwide.
Earlier in March this year, the Minister of Interior inaugurated the initial batch of marshals, consisting of 50 specially trained officers.
