The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between African governments, football institutions, and the private sector to support development across Nigeria and the continent. CAF shared images of the engagement on its official X account.

It stated:

“They discussed several topics, particularly cooperation between the government, football, and the private sector in Nigeria and in Africa.”

Tinubu’s visit is part of a broader diplomatic tour that began in France, where he engaged with investors and discussed economic reforms. He arrived in Kenya on Monday for the summit co-hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.

The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” focuses on issues such as energy transition, digital development, climate action, and financing reforms.

After the Nairobi event, Tinubu is expected to travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum before returning to Nigeria ahead of the APC presidential primary scheduled for May 23.
