President Bola Tinubu on Friday welcomed the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, and his wife, Abiwumi Owoade, to the State House in Abuja.
Also in attendance were Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris, as well as members of the Alaafin’s delegation. The meeting highlighted the federal government’s continued partnership with traditional institutions.
The delegation, accompanied by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, held discussions focused on deepening cultural connections and advancing socio-economic development in Oyo State and the Southwest region.
President Tinubu and Oba Owoade were photographed with key members of the presidential team, reflecting the enduring bond between Nigeria’s traditional heritage and its contemporary leadership.
