Ukrainian negotiators have arrived in the United States for discussions with the Trump administration on ending nearly four years of war with Russia, a member of the delegation confirmed on Saturday.

The delegation is scheduled to meet Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s envoy, as well as his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. The talks will take place in Miami, just days before the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Kyiv is seeking clear assurances on long-term security guarantees from its allies as part of any potential peace settlement.

Kyrylo Budanov, a top aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky, said on social media that he had arrived in the United States alongside security chief Rustem Umerov and senior negotiator David Arakhamia. He described the talks as crucial discussions with American partners on the details of a possible peace agreement.

Budanov added that a joint meeting was planned with Witkoff, Kushner and US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll.

President Trump has repeatedly called for an end to the conflict, the most devastating war in Europe since the Second World War, but negotiations have yet to produce a breakthrough. He has voiced frustration with both sides and has pressed Ukraine to accept peace terms that Kyiv views as tantamount to surrender.
