Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in New York to represent Nigeria at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

On Monday, Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of The Vice President), announced that the vice president landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport earlier today.

 

He was welcomed by several dignitaries, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar; the Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani; the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa; Nigerian diplomats, UN officials, and others.

 

 

 

The vice president left the country on Sunday.
