Supporters of the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi in Lagos State on Saturday defied a subsisting order from the State Police Command not to hold rallies in any part of the State.

While the rallies are generally adjudged peaceful, however, commuters were made to spend longer hours on the roads getting to their various destinations because of the attendant traffic.

NewsClick Nigeria gathered that despite a significant Oolice presence in Lekki, the “Obidients” assembled at the toll gate on Saturday morning.

On the Lekki-Epe Expressway, where traffic was nearly at a standstill, NewsClick Nigeria gathered that private and commercial bus drivers sought alternate routes.

Motorists and passengers were left stranded on the road due to the rally.
