Photos/Videos: Owerri under siege as unknown gunmen attack police command, prison facility, free inmates
The Imo State capital, Owerri was on Monday morning attacked by unknown gunmen.
Newsclickng.com gathered that the the federal prison and police command headquarters were major targets of the attacks.
According to eyewitness accounts on social media, several number of inmates were set free. Facilities at both the correctional centre and police command all at close distance to the Imo State Government House were also damaged.
