[PHOTOS]Catholic church holds funeral mass for members killed in Owo
The victims of the deadly attack on St. Francis Catholic Church are laid to rest in Owo, Ondo State, on this solemn day.
This followed a funeral mass held on Friday in honour of the victims whose remains were deposited in the Saint Louis Catholic Hospital morgue in Owo.
Following the conclusion of the funeral mass, the victims’ families buried their loved ones in the town.
The governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and a former governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko, were present at the mass.
Bishop Jude Arogundade of Ondo Catholic Diocese and Bishop Matthew Kukah of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto were among the clergymen present.
The attack, which was widely condemned across the nation, resulted in the deaths of at least forty people.
