The Plateau State Government has fully lifted the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, following a period of peaceful conduct by residents and an improvement in the security situation.
In a statement from the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, Governor Caleb Muftwang announced that the decision was made after extensive consultations with security agencies.
He emphasized that the lift would enable citizens to resume their economic and lawful activities while maintaining public order.
Governor Muftwang expressed gratitude to the citizens for their steadfast patriotism and cooperation during the challenging period and reaffirmed his commitment to their well-being.
He also commended the security personnel for their dedication and effective enforcement of the curfew.
