The Nigeria Police Force has expressed concern about alleged irregularities and corruption related to the recent release of successful candidates’ names by the Police Service Commission in the 2022/23 Police Constables Recruitment Exercise.

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that the list published on the Police Service Commission portal includes numerous names of individuals who did not apply and therefore did not participate in the recruitment process.

The statement further highlights that the published list contains names of candidates who failed either the Computer Based Test (CBT), the physical screening exercise, or both. This encompasses individuals who reached the final stage of the exercise but were disqualified due to medical unfitness after the standardized medical test. Despite being deemed medically unfit, some of these individuals still appeared on the list of successful candidates as published by the Police Service Commission.

The statement underscores particular concern about allegations of financial transactions and corrupt practices leading to the inclusion of unqualified and untrainable individuals in the shortlisted candidates.
