Police arrest two over death of 25-year-old in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended two individuals suspected to be involved in the killing of a 25-year-old man, Friday Isah, in Mubi North Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement released on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, the incident took place during a birthday celebration in Digil Ward, where the suspects allegedly stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

“Upon receipt of the report, operatives of the command attached to the Mubi North Divisional Headquarters promptly rushed to the scene and conveyed the victim to the Medical Facility for medical attention. Unfortunately, he was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.”

He added that the suspects, identified as Samson Elisha, 19, of Giye Digil, Mubi North LGA, and Ayuba Stephen, 21, of Dagala Digil in the same area, have been taken into custody, while investigations continue.

“The suspects, Samson Elisha, 19years of Giye Digil, Mubi North LGA, and Ayuba Stephen of Dagala Digil 21years of Mubi North LGA, have since been arrested, while investigation is ongoing”

The Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to handle the case and ensure thorough investigation and prosecution of those involved.

The command reaffirmed its commitment to justice and urged residents to remain law-abiding, while encouraging them to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
