The Gombe State Police Command has announced a restriction on movement between 12am and 5am, effective from 7 February 2025.
This decision follows intelligence reports indicating rising threats to public safety in the state.
State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, stated that intelligence reports had alerted authorities to increasing security risks.
“To curb these threats, the Command has imposed movement restrictions from 12am to 5am, starting 7 February 2025,” he said.
The police emphasised their commitment to safeguarding citizens and urged public cooperation in ensuring a secure environment.
“The Command prioritises the safety of all residents and calls on the public to support efforts to keep Gombe secure,” Abdullahi added.
He also advised parents and guardians to caution their wards, warning that any violations of the restriction would not be tolerated.
