Police in Kaduna nabs 13, kills four suspected kidnappers

The  Kaduna State Police Command has announced that it killed four suspected kidnappers and arrested 13 others in sting operations in different parts of the state.

Revealing this while presenting the suspects, ASP Manir Hassan, the acting Public Relations Officer of the command, informed journalists that the alleged kidnappers met their demise in various locations across Kaduna State during a gun battle. The apprehensions were made following intelligence reports regarding the suspects’ illicit operations.

According to the police spokesman said that one of the suspects is Auwal Saidu, a private security guard, who is accused of masterminding the kidnapping of his boss from his home. He is also accused of collecting 10 million naira in ransom before releasing the victim.

The following items were recovered from the suspects: two AK-47 rifles, three locally made revolvers, two motorcycles, 15 live cartridges, and bags of marijuana.

The police spokesman said that all the suspects will be charged in court once the investigation is complete.
