Police, local hunters arrest two suspected kidnappers in Ondo

Luck ran against two suspected kidnappers who were arrested by Men of the Nigeria Police and local hunters at different locations in Akoko Area of the State .

The Police and the local hunters from Ikaram-Akunu axis of the State also rescued two abductees following a tip off by a resident of the area who pleaded that his name should not be mentioned.

According to the source, a suspected mad man was sighted as he was driving along the road and he quickly queried his movement around the area.

He explained that while questioning the suspected mad man further , he noticed that the mad man in question was only looking unkempt but he speaks flawless English. 

This development according to him, aroused the residents curiosity and he immediately contacted the local vigilantes in Akunu Akoko who later handed him over to the police.

He further explained that the Police in conjuction with local hunters immediately swung into action and subsequently went into the forests in the area to smoke out if there other criminals hiding in the bush.

Newsclickng.com learnt that items like ATM cards, soap box, black dresses and black underwear were allegedly found in his luggage.

The second suspect was arrested at Ajowa Akoko with army identity card and a phone.

He has been handed over to the Ikare Akoko Divisional Police Station for further interrogation .

When the crew of Newsclickng.com contacted the Ondo State Police Command Spokesman, Mr.Tee Leo Ikoro ,in a telephone interview he said he was only aware of the arrest of a mad man suspected to be a kidnapper taken to Ikare Divisional Police Station for interrogation and it was discovered that the suspect was mentally sick but said investigation is still ongoing .

Mr. Ikoro however ,pleaded as at the time of going to the press that he should be given more time to contact his men in Akoko area of the State,to ascertain the authenticity of the story.
