Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Mr Abiodun Alamutu, has warned hoodlums to relocate, as the state will be too hot for them to operate: “We apprehended 35 suspected armed robbers, cultists, rapists, and kidnappers and recovered weapons from their hiding places.”
“The command had a huge success in flushing out hoodlums from the state.” I’d like to thank my officers for apprehending individuals who were terrorising the state. We smoked out some hoodlums in three ’ember’ months.
“Operators from the Divisional Police Office in Sagamu apprehended ten suspects who travelled from Ibadan, Oyo State, to carry out a robbery operation in Papalanto, Ewekoro.” Cutlasses, firearms, phones, six live cartridges, 18 spent cartridge shells, and ATM cards were also retrieved.
“Police operatives in Ode-Remo arrested 15 suspected cult members of the dreaded Supreme Eiye Confraternity. They engaged police operatives including the vigilance group. Police after a raid arrested some hoodlums at Itaoba, Sagamu. The suspects confessed to their involvement in various killings.
“Another two suspected cultists of Eiye Confraternity in Abibatun-Toronbi, Ijoko, were arrested. The suspects confessed to have been involved in a murder case. We have restored peace in that community. Operatives of Ibogun Police Division raided hideouts and arrested eight suspects in a community in Ewekoro LG.
“The command has redeployed the tactical team to flash points especially on the Abeokuta-Ibadan highway. We have raided the forest where the hoodlums kept their victims. We recovered weapons abandoned during encounter with them.
“The command has activated appropriate disciplinary measures against erring personnel. The police high hierarchy is committed to uphold professionalism and community policing.”
