The remains of three students who were reported missing after their boat overturned in Calabar on Saturday have been found.
The bodies that have been recovered belong to two male and one female student.
Gyogon Grimah, the Commissioner of Police for the state, revealed this information on Monday in Calabar.
He said since the boat accident occurred, “the police have been working day and night to rescue the missing students.”
Grimah also praised the local residents for their diligent endeavors in retrieving the bodies of the students.
A group of medical students had visited Calabar for a medical students’ event and embarked on a boat excursion at Marina Resort on Saturday, during which the boat overturned.
Eleven of the students were successfully rescued, while the remains of the three missing students were retrieved on Monday.
