The Nigeria Police Force has successfully rescued Folashade Odumosu, wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

The operation, led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo, resulted in her release on Wednesday.

Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the development during a phone interview with Channels Television on Thursday.

During the rescue mission, the kidnappers were neutralized, and the ransom used as bait was recovered. However, Adejobi declined to disclose the exact amount of the ransom or the location of the rescue.

Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun praised the CP and the operatives for their efforts, reaffirming the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to protecting citizens and ensuring national security.

Folashade Odumosu was abducted last Thursday outside her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The kidnappers dragged her from her Lexus SUV and transported her through a swampy area to an undisclosed location.
