The Kaduna Police Command has summoned the former governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, to appear over allegations of criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and inflicting grievous harm.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of criminal investigation, Zubairu Abdullahi, issued the summons to El-Rufai along with senior members of the Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In an invitation letter, the police directed El-Rufai and other ADC leaders, including the North West Chairman of the Party, Ja’afaru Sani, to report for questioning over alleged offences of conspiracy, incitement, and mischief.

The letter partly read: “This Department is investigating the above-mentioned case involving members of your party. You are required to present yourself with them at SCID to clarify allegations made by complainants on 8th September 2025.”

Those named include: Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Bashir Saidu, Ja’afaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed (also known as Mikiya 30), Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita, and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini (also known as Mikiya).

However, ADC members claimed they had not received the invitation formally and had only seen reports of it on social media.
