Buhari meets Service chiefs, ministers in Abuja over insecurity
President Muhammadu Buhari met with heads of security agencies and several ministers at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.
The meeting follows the National Council of State’s recommendations regarding the country’s security challenges.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, and National Security Adviser (NSA), Major Gen. Babagana Monguno were all in attendance physically.
Ministers at the meeting include Bashir Magashi (Defense) and Rauf Aregbesola (Interior).
Lt General Farouk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao, Chief of Air Staff, were also in attendance.
General Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Defense Staff, was present.
Alkali Baba Usman, Inspector-General of Police, Yusuf Bichi, Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), and Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), were also in attendance.
