President Buhari presides over FEC meeting

The President, Muhammadu Buhari, is currently presiding over the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

However, Buhari arrived at the Council Chambers at around 11:00 am, about an hour after the usual time of 10:00 am.

Present are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Head of the Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan.

Also present are Ministers of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; Justice, Abubakar Malami; Finance Budget and National Planning; Zainab Ahmed, Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami; Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello and Education, Adamu Adamu.

Others are the Ministers of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq; Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire; as well as Ministers of State for Agriculture, Mustapha Shehuri, Budget and National Planning Clement Agba, among others.

Vice President Osinbajo is not attending Wednesday’s meeting as he is on an official assignment in Lagos State.

Also absent was the President’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
