President Tinubu arrives in Tanzania for energy summit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Sunday evening for the highly anticipated Africa Heads of State Energy Summit.

The Nigerian leader was warmly welcomed upon arrival by a vibrant cultural troupe, as well as top officials, including Tanzania’s Foreign Minister, Amb. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, and Ambassador Salisu Suleiman, the Chargé d’Affaires of Nigeria’s High Commission to Tanzania.

A large crowd of flag-waving Tanzanians were also present to extend their hospitality to President Tinubu, reflecting the significance of the summit. This two-day event, co-hosted by the government of Tanzania, the African Union, the African Development Bank, and the World Bank Group, aims to bring together leaders from across the continent to address pressing energy issues facing Africa.

During the summit, President Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a keynote statement that will reaffirm Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to achieving universal access to energy. He will also highlight Nigeria’s leadership role within Africa’s energy sector, advocating for increased cooperation and investment in sustainable energy solutions to ensure long-term development and economic growth across the continent. The summit offers a significant platform for Tinubu to showcase Nigeria’s efforts in advancing energy reforms and improving energy access for all Africans.
