President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The President landed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, at precisely 3:23 pm on Wednesday, 18 December. His arrival was confirmed by Presidential Spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement.
Welcoming him at the airport were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat, members of the Lagos State Executive Council, and key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Presentation of 2025 Budget
Before travelling to Lagos, President Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja. Dubbed “The Restoration Budget,” the ₦47.9 trillion proposal prioritises defence and security (₦4.91 trillion), infrastructure (₦4.06 trillion), health (₦2.4 trillion), and education (₦3.5 trillion).
During his 30-minute address, which concluded at 1:10 pm, the President emphasised the focus on “security, peace, and building prosperity.”

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Onanuga said:
“President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.”
He added that the Governor, his Deputy, and other dignitaries warmly received the President upon his arrival.
