Presidential election tribunal commences hearing on Atiku’s petition against Buhari’s victory today

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) will hold its inaugural session on Wednesday (today) at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

By the schedule of activities released Tuesday (yesterday), the tribunal listed four petitions for mention. The first was filed by Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and Ambrose Owuru, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate. The petition was filed on March 7.

The second was filed on March 18 by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the election, Atiku Abubakar. The third was filed by the Coalition for Change (C4C) and Geff Ojinika, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate.

The fourth petition was filed on March 19 by the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pastor Aminchi Habu, listed as the party’s presidential candidate.
