Reject Ecobank’s petition demanding rejection of N4.7billion shares, Oba Otudeko’s lawyers tells FBN

Wole Olanipekun & Co. legal team representing Dr Oba Otudeko, have instructed FBN Holdings to ignore a petition from Ecobank’s lawyers requesting the rejection of 4.7 billion shares bought by the entrepreneur.

In a letter issued on Wednesday, the law firm refuted Ecobank’s allegations that a Supreme Court judgment supported their claim that Otudeko owed them N13.5 billion.

It read in part, “The sum of N13,507,052,417.99 (thirteen billion, five hundred and seven million, fifty two thousand, four hundred and seventeen naira, ninety nine kobo) stated in Ecobank’s letter is/was not contained in the Supreme Court decision or any extant Court decision in Nigeria or elsewhere.”
