The Rivers State House of Assembly Mourns the Passing of Member, Dinebari Loolo.
Dinebari Loolo, the representative for Khana Constituency 2 in the state legislature and chairman of the House Committee on Environment, has been confirmed deceased by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Victor Oko-Jumbo, the House spokesperson, made this announcement while addressing reporters in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Oko-Jumbo, who represents Bonny Constituency in the 32-member House, expressed his profound shock at Loolo’s passing.
He further mentioned that the House had extended their condolences by visiting his family at their residence in Port Harcourt.
The spokesperson of the Rivers Assembly affirmed, “We received the shocking news yesterday; one that threw everybody off balance.”

In the meantime, Dumnamene Dekor, a federal legislator and representative of Khana/Gokana in the House of Representatives, has expressed his condolences on the passing of Loolo.
In a statement released by his media office, Dekor described Loolo’s demise as a deeply personal loss and a significant setback for the Ogoni community in Rivers. He emphasized the closeness he shared with the departed and referred to Loolo as ‘a trusted and dependable comrade’, lamenting the loss of a valuable individual for the Ogoni people.
Dekor expressed these sentiments while offering his condolences to the wife and family of the late lawmaker at their residence in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
“Hon. Barr. Loolo’s demise is not only a loss to his immediate family, but also to the Peoples Democratic Party on whose platform he was elected into the state legislature, and to Rivers State as a whole.”
“For the short period, he served the state as a lawmaker, Loolo was a rallying point because of his humility, legislative acumen and imitable sense of reasoning.”
“While serving as a lawmaker, he made a remarkable mark, always radiating exceptional brilliance and courage. Loolo’s memories will continue to live with me as a brother, and friend, an associate and close ally who was always there for me and my family in all my political endevours,” the federal lawmaker added.”
