On Thursday afternoon, a lone auto crash along University Road injured some University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) students to various degrees.
According to reports, the accident involving a tiny commercial bus known as the ‘Korope’ occurred when a tyre broke while the bus was in motion.
The auto accident occurred near the university gate, and several of the institution’s security staff attempted to manage the situation.
According to an eyewitness, one of the accident victims lost an arm, while another female victim appeared to be lifeless on the road.
A video of the accident scene that circulated in the Ilorin city on Thursday showed victims writhing in pain on the road, while a female student with blood on her head appeared to be dead on the road.
Another victim, a man dressed in a suit, was attempting to stand but losing control and falling.
Kunle Akogun, a school spokesman who confirmed the mishap, stated that there were no casualties.
Akogun stated that those involved in the accident were being treated at the school clinic.
