Well-known socialite Balogun Eletu, also recognized as Sam Larry, has publicly refuted the circulating rumors that he was engaged in a recent car accident.

Media in certain sections reported an auto crash involving the show promoter and his family on Saturday night.

In response to the rumors early Sunday, Samlarry clarified that he and his family went out but safely returned, contradicting the reports.

He labeled the reports as “fake news” orchestrated by individuals with the intention of sullying his reputation.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: “I, Samlarry, want to use this platform to debunk the false information spreading online about my involvement in an accident. Both my family and I are perfectly fine; we spent the day together and even went out for dinner, returning home safely.

“Despite the prevalence of fake news, please disregard any online claims about me. While some may seek to tarnish my reputation, I entrust them to God for judgment. I appreciate the concern of my friends and family, but rest assured, I am doing well, and nothing untoward has occurred.

“To those spreading falsehoods, may your actions reflect back on you. Thank you, Samlarry. God bless your home.”

Newsclick remembers that Samlarry gained attention months ago when accusations of bullying late singer Mohbad surfaced. This occurred after a video surfaced showing him and his associates disrupting the singer’s video shoot.

On October 6, Samlarry, Naira Marley, and two others were brought to court and detained for their suspected roles in the events leading to the demise of the former Marlian Music signee, Mohbad.

However, they were subsequently released on bail following weeks of being in custody.
