The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has obtained official licences from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health for its clinics and medical centres designated to cater to Nigerian pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj.

The approval allows NAHCON’s medical personnel to begin providing healthcare services to pilgrims in the Kingdom.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the facilities were established to offer primary healthcare services such as medical consultations, first aid, and treatment of minor illnesses for Nigerian pilgrims.

“In line with operational guidelines, pilgrims seeking medical attention at NAHCON clinics are required to present their Nusuk Card and International Passport for identification and treatment documentation,” the statement said.

The commission explained that pilgrims needing specialised or secondary healthcare would be referred to accredited Saudi hospitals, including King Fahd Hospital and other approved medical facilities.

NAHCON also disclosed that its Madinah Clinic has been operational for the past four days, delivering healthcare support to Nigerian pilgrims in the city.

The approved clinics are located in different parts of Makkah, including the Shara Sittin Area, Misfalah Al-Tadwa Area, and Mansour Street Area.

The commission noted that the licensing of the facilities reflects its commitment to protecting the health and well-being of Nigerian pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.
