Anambra First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, has introduced a free computer training programme for secondary school students and young people in the state.

The initiative, being implemented through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, is designed to help participants develop basic computer skills that can support their education, careers and business ambitions.

According to a statement by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, the month-long programme will begin on August 24, 2026, with classes holding three times weekly at the Healthy Living Complex, No. 6, Road 13, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.

The training is open to young people and secondary school students interested in building their digital skills and becoming more confident with computers.

The statement said, “Anambra First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, through her non-governmental movement, ‘Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative’, has announced a free one-month computer training programme designed to equip secondary school students and young people with essential digital skills.

“The programme is part of the Initiative’s commitment to empowering young people with practical skills that can improve their opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.

“The free training is open to secondary school students and young people who want to develop their foundational computer skills and gain the confidence needed to participate more effectively in today’s digital economy.

“The initiative observed that access to digital skills is increasingly important for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development, making it necessary to expose young people to basic computer knowledge early.

“Participants are expected to undergo the training for one month, with classes held three times every week. Interested students and young people can register through the programme’s online registration portal.”

The organisers said the programme was intended to give participants useful digital knowledge and improve their readiness for opportunities in the technology-driven economy.
