Super Eagles seek better results against foxes in friendly match
Some Nigerian players have expressed hope for their friendly match against Algeria on Tuesday.
Super Eagles match on Friday night ended in a 2-2 draw after Maduka Okoye’s mistake in goal allowed Algeria B to score first.
The Eagles then scored two goals in the second half from replacements Alex Iwobi and Cyriel Dessers to take a 2-1 lead.
But the Foxes were awarded a share of the victory thanks to a penalty late in the second half.

“I think it’s going to be a good game for both countries,” he told NFF TV.
“I think Algeria is a country with a lot of talented players as well, but as a team, I think it’s a game that will make us get to know each other more and keep us get to focus on the next challenge.”
When they take on the Riyad Mahrez-led team on Tuesday, Saviour Godwin and Adebayo, who both received their first caps for the Eagles, hope for a better outcome than the stalemate they received in the first encounter.
“We are working out in training, looking forward to the game, and just go there and give out best and hope for a better result,” Adebayo told NFF TV.
For Godwin, the Eagles are looking for a win in the game against the Foxes.
“Algeria is a big team, one of the finest in Africa. Of course, when we go into the pitch, we want to win, and I think it’s going to be a really good game for us to fight. We want to win, and are surely going to win the game.”
