Suspected ritualist Osas slaughters girlfriend in Edo

Operatives of Edo State Police Command have lunched a manhunt for a suspected ritualist, simply identified as Osas, who allegedly killed his girlfriend, Elohor Oniorosa, for money ritual purpose.

The incident reportedly occurred on the eve of Christmas, somewhere in Egor Local Government Area, a surbub of Benin metropolis.

It was gathered that the suspect who recently returned to Nigeria from Ghana, allegedly invited the deceased to his family house, where he reportedly slaughtered her.

Although details of the murder still remain sketchy as at the time of writing the report, Edo Police Command spokesman, SP Kontongs Bello, however confirmed the incident.

Bello disclosed that the father of the deceased, William Oniorosa, reported the incident at an undisclosed police division.

Reacting to enquiry on the incident, Bello said:”The suspect’s name is Osas. Surname unknown, who is a boyfriend of Elohor Oniorosa, daughter of one William Oniorosa, who reported that incident to the police.

“Investigation is on. Meanwhile, the suspect is on the run. The incident happened on the 24/12/2021.”
