Tambuwal approves appointment of 64 constituency aides

The former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, has authorized the hiring of 64 aides spread across the local governments in his constituency.

Tambuwal, serving as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Housing and Urban Development, disclosed the appointment of Constituency and Local Government Aides for the Sokoto South Senatorial District in a press statement issued to journalists on Monday by his media aide, Muhammad Bello.

Bello said, “This initiative is part of the Senator’s efforts to empower his constituents and drive the his development agenda.”

The recently appointed aides include individuals who previously served as his commissioners and special advisers during his tenure as the governor of the state.

Among the appointed aides are Aminu Bodinga, appointed as the Special Adviser on Constituency Affairs and Stakeholders Engagement; Alhaji Ahmed Maradu, appointed as the Special Adviser on Constituency Political Affairs; Bala Yabo, appointed as the Special Adviser on Constituency Welfare; and Bello Tureta, appointed as the Special Adviser on Constituency Traditional and Religious Affairs.

Additionally, the list comprises Nasiru Tambuwal, Special Adviser on Constituency Projects, Youth, and Student Affairs; Bashir Lambara, Special Adviser on Special Duties; Lauwali Fakku, Special Adviser on Community Orientation and Enlightenment; Abdullahi Dange, Special Adviser on Constituency Security Matters; Lauwali Ubandoma, Surajo Isah, Ibrahim Ubale, Haliru Kilgori, Abubakar Rafi, Abubakar Salihu, and Ummaru Bodinga.

The appointees also consist of seven Special Assistants, each designated for the seven Local Governments within the Sokoto South Senatorial District. These local governments are Tambuwal, Kebbe, Shagari, Yabo, Bodinga, Dange-Shuni, and Tureta, respectively.

The senator extended congratulations to the appointees and encouraged them to strive for excellence in fulfilling their responsibilities.
