Taraba gov mourns death of another permanent secretary, Maikomo

The Taraba State Government has announced the passing of Dauda Maikomo, the Permanent Secretary of the Abuja Liaison Office.

His death comes just days after the passing of another federal permanent secretary from Taraba, Fidelis Kiagama.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Hamidu Ahmed Kara, speaking on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas, confirmed that Maikomo died following a brief illness.

Dr. Kara described him as a dedicated public servant who made meaningful contributions to both the state and the country.

He applauded Maikomo’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to public service, stating that his absence will be deeply felt across Taraba State.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time,” Dr Kara said.

A state burial, according to the Head of Civil Service will be held in Maikomo’s honour at a date to be determined by the family.

The government called on citizens to remember the late official’s legacy and continue to be inspired by his service.
