Team Brazil on Sunday claimed victory at the E1 Lagos GP, marking their first win of the series. Powerboat Pilot, Timmy Hansen, and Leva Millere-Hagin led the team through the group races, race-off, and final to secure the top spot.

With their impressive performance, Team Brazil earned 38 points, bringing their total to 89. They finished ahead of Team Blue Rising in second place, while Team Drogba took third.

Top contenders Team Rafa and Team Brady missed out on podium positions in Lagos — the first-ever E1 race hosted in Africa.

The E1 Lagos GP is an all-electric powerboat competition that blends cutting-edge technology, environmental sustainability, and thrilling water sports action. The event, held on October 4 and 5 at Victoria Island, Lagos, drew international teams and spectators.

Lagos made history as the first African city to host the E1 Racing Championship.

During Sunday’s final, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the event as a symbol of innovation and progress, highlighting Lagos’ creativity, resilience, and dedication to clean energy initiatives.

“Hosting the E1 Grand Prix is not just about sport. It is about innovation, environmental responsibility, and putting Lagos on the global map for future-focused development,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said.
