Technician electrocuted while repairing refrigerator in Ogun

A technician identified as Sanjo Adeosun has been confirmed to have been electrocuted on Power Street in the Abule-Iroko area of Ogun State.

The information was conveyed to newsmen by the state police command in a telephone interview on Sunday.

According to reports, Amos Alexander, the owner of the freezer who had hired the technician, informed the Sango-Ota Police Division that the technician passed away while working on the freezer.

Omolola Odutola, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Sunday, revealing that Adeosun’s body had been placed at the Ifo General Hospital for an autopsy.

She said, “When the incident was brought to the attention of our men, they rushed to the scene and took the man to the hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctor on duty. The deceased victim’s body has been deposited at the hospital morgue. His family has been contacted about the incident.”

According to reports, Adeosun is the second technician to succumb to electrocution in less than two weeks following the previous incident in the state.

Another technician, identified as Badmus Ola, reportedly lost his life due to electrocution while dismantling a billboard in the Kajola area via Owode-Egba, Ogun State, on Christmas Day.
