Terrorists believed to be members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) attacked the Borno State town of Damboa.
According to a security source who confirmed the attack, the terrorists struck the town around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
“They parked their motorcycles behind the trench dug around the town and moved in on their foot,” the source said.
He explained that they set fire to parts of a primary healthcare facility outside of town, as well as parts of the Technical Girls College in Damboa.
A Civilian JTF also said two of their members sustained injuries from gunshots.
