Terrorists open fire on traders in Katsina, kill four
Gunmen suspected to be terrorists killed four traders going to the market on Sunday in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to PUNCH, the traders, who were from Zandam village, were going to a market close to the local government headquarters when they ran into the terrorists.
The state police spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident revealed that the terrorists shot five traders, adding that four died on the spot.
Isah said, “Yes, the terrorists shot at five traders. Four died on the spot, while one was injured and rushed to a hospital in Katsina for medical attention.”
Residents added that the incident caused fear among other traders already at the market.
