Tinubu appoints Abdullahi Mustapha as new Energy Commission CEO

President Bola Tinubu has confirmed Dr Abdullahi Mustapha’s appointment as Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN).

According to Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the President expects the new ECN CEO to have a beneficial impact on his administration’s rigorous push to diversify the nation’s energy sources and industrialise every corner of the country.

Dr. Mustapha has worked with the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for over a decade and has extensive experience in the energy and space technology sectors.
